ScreamPrompt #25, April 2012
Fourth Month.
Four weeks.
Four stories.
Four thousand words.
For real.
:w00t: All prompts are live :w00t:
Here's what's gonna happen. I will list four prompts, one for each week of this month. Once a new week starts, the prompt for that week will be posted. Since I've been rather word-count heavy lately, we're taking it back to Flash Fiction. Because the prompts are going to be fairly simple compared to the past, I will be attaching a difficulty to each one, mostly to help you avoid leaping toward to most obvious initial ideas. Read on...

Face Your Fears Contest Update
EDIT:
Hi everyone!!
Just a quick reminder to include at least the group's name and the name of the contest in your artists comments. I would like an explanation of your fear also, to help me interpret your piece correctly.
I just went through the folder in the gallery checking all the pieces (because I hate the thought of having to disqualify someone when they have put so much effort into their piece) and if I hadn't have checked them then and commented I would have had to disqualify at least three people come judging time. It was clearly stated in the rules guys! Please read ALL the rules before submitting and TAKE NOTE OF THEM. Please!!!

Face Your Fears Contest Finishing Date Extended!
Hi all!
The contest was supposed to end a couple days ago on the 31st. But, I won't be able to assess the entries and organise the voting anytime before late June. Which is three weeks away.
Instead of letting the folder sit there doing nothing and letting you guys wait impatiently, I have decided to extend the finishing date to 23 June 2012.
I'm sorry to all of those who submitted ages ago, but they do say that patience is a virtue.
For info about the contest (remembering that the finishing date has changed) see this journal:

What is a Word War?
It's a friendly competition to see who can write the most in a set period of time. This can be over the course of a month with daily interval updates, or over the course of a few minutes with instant results.
In a chatroom setting the game is fast paced fun with the timer set to a few minutes and participants compete in several rounds. Speed writing is key!
Instructions
This is the standard way the Chat Tour hosts a Word War. If you are hosting your own Word War game you can modify these rules and timers for your own purpose, but be sure to inform all participants
